Snow Geese Report - Mound City, MO

Yes it is true while scouting for fields yesterday we spotted numerous bunches of snow geese. We are sure that this is NOT a migration but it does show that there are snow geese always checking Squaw Creek NWR. Since there was NO open water we watched them turn around and fly back south down the Missouri River valley.

LICENSE

You can go online and purchase you Missouri hunting license for this spring. The cost is $40 for non-residents and $5 for residents for the conservation season permit and you do not need a federal waterfowl stamp.

Spring 2010 Outlook

If you haven't heard yet it has been reported that the overall snow goose hatch was good to excellant. Great news for everybody meaning there should be even more countless opportunities of decoying large groups of juveniles. I have a feeling that we will educate the young of the year very well. Boom!
